Patrick Brunot is a French lawyer at the Court of Appeal of Paris and a Professor in International Law at the Paris School of Higher International Studies. He represented Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein in a libel case against a French newspaper. Together with Philippe Chansay Wilmotte, Brunot participated in the CIS-EMO mission in Transnistria in 2007. In September 2017, Brunot illegally visited Crimea and delivered a lecture at a university.
