Alexander Rahr is a German management consultant, lobbyist, Eastern European historian, political scientist and publicist. He is long-time supporter of Putin's regime. He is a research director of the German-Russian Forum that promotes Russian foreign policy interests in Germany and Europe, a deputy chair of the Council of Russian Economy in Germany, and an advisor on EU affairs for the Russian energy giant Gazprom.
