Yves Pozzo di Borgo was a member of the Senate of France from 2004 to 2017, representing the city of Paris for the Centrist Union. He was a member of the Council of Paris from 2001 to 2020. Yves Pozzo di Borgo is also a member of the pro-Kremlin French-Russian Dialogue Association ("Association Dialogue Franco Russe") headed by Thierry Mariani. Pozzo di Borgo illegally travelled to Crimea in July 2015.
