Anton Friesen is a German politician for the Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) / Alternative for Germany since 2013. He was a member of the German Bundestag from 2017 to 2021. In the 19th German Bundestag (2017-2021), Anton Friesen was a chairman of the subcommittee for the United Nations, international organizations and globalization. In addition, he was a member of the Foreign Committee and a substitute member of the Committee on Human Rights and Humanitarian Aid. Together with other AfD party members he consistently called for the lifting of the “anti-Russian” sanctions.
